Said CHARNA is an Algerian career diplomat who joined in 2019 as a Senior Advisor to the Economic Development and Employment Division “EDE” at the Union for the Mediterranean Secretariat. He is in charge of industrial cooperation and private-sector development. As such, he organized several events on digitalization, green economy, entrepreneurship promotion, and access to finance for MSMEs, among others. Prior to that, he served at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2013/2018-2019), where he worked on the implementation of the partnership agreement between the EU and Algeria as well as the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, notably in the framework of 5+5 Dialogue and the Union for the Mediterranean. From 2013 until 2017, he was Deputy Head of Mission at the Algerian Embassy in Croatia. After he graduated in 2005 from the National School of Administration, he carried on his postgraduate studies to obtain a Ph.D. in 2018 in Economics from the University of Algiers and a University Specialist Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy in 2017 from the University of Zagreb.

Chigozie Nweke-Eze is an Economist and a Geographer working on financing, governance, and infrastructures of Energy, Mining and the Power Sector in Africa. On a general level, he is interested in the economics, politics and geographies of international development and sustainability. More recently, his work engages with Hydrogen as a continuum of energy transition and industrial decarbonization. He applies Strategic Intelligence in articulating Africa's energy and mining transition.
